Another successful and very enjoyable cocktail party.
- Course 1 – Queso fundido, mushrooms, guacamole & corn tortillas
- Cocktail 1 – Peady’s muddle (mezcal, lime juice, jalapeño simple syrup)
- Course 2 – Scallops cooked in a sage & tarragon infused butter with bakeapple syrup
- Cocktail 2 – Yellow Jacket (tequila, elderflower liqueur, yellow chartreuse)
- Course 3 – Wild boar sliders with sliced beets and quail’s egg
- Cocktail 3 – The Long Hello (applejack, elderflower liqueur, champagne)
- Course 4 – Fig & brie rolls
- Cocktail 4 – Pins & Needles (white rum, lillet rose, pineapple syrup, lime juice, sparking water)
- Course 5 – Leek & tarragon salmon wellington with corn timbale
- Cocktail 5 – Eden Park (gin, simple syrup, lemon juice, green chartreuse)
- Course 6 – Coffee, toffee pecan torte with dulce de leche and vanilla ice cream
- Cocktail 6 – Black Velvet (guinness, champagne)
I think we set a new record this morning. Of all the parties we’ve hosted, I think this one managed to keep people at the table longer than any other – through until after 0130.
We sure had a good time. We’re lucky to have so many interesting friends willing to share the table with us.

Bernadette and I were overwhelmed by the taste experience. We had a great time and thank you so much for the invite. Talking aviation until the early hours was pretty cool as well.
